Only two days ago I showed you some pretty Burberry lipsticks. Today I present you: the Festive Gold Burberry Christmas collection!
The Burberry 2015 Christmas collection has 7 different products:
Limited Edition My Burberry Solid Perfume (with gold sparkles, so pretty!),
Gold Glow Fragranced Luminising Powder,
Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in No.01 Nude Radiance,
Eye Colour Cream in limited edition No.120 Festive Gold,
Burberry Kisses in two shades: No.109 Military Red and limited edition No.120 Festive Gold,
Burberry Kisses Gloss in two shades: No.109 Military Red and limited edition No.120 Festive Gold,
Nail Polish in two shades: No.300 Military Red and limited edition No.449 Festive Gold.
The products that I underlined are the ones I'm showing you today.
The box is completely gold for this collection and even the products silver casing is replaced by some holiday gold. It gives that festive touch to the collection (and part of the reason why you just want to collect these limited editions).
Burberry is my favorite brand when it comes to nail polishes, they simply are so good. I love the big brush and their formula. I never get any stripes or bubbles, they cover perfectly in two layers and they have a beautiful shine.
The nail polishes from this collection are very 'Christmas', there is a Christmas red (called Military Red) and a very pretty top coat called Festive Gold. A lot of holiday collections this year have sparkly top coats: Chanel has one (soon on the blog!), but also Dior. (You can zoom in on the swatches to see the shimmers better.) The sparkles all apply evenly and the nail polish gives off a good amount of sparkles in only one layer. Definitely one of the eye-catchers of the collection.
I also experimented with nail swatch sticks, because my nails are always so short. What do you prefer, sticks or nails?
The second product is Fresh Glow in 01. Nude Radiance. It's a luminous fluid base and I didn't expected too much of it, but I absolutely love the effect. It's kinda like a strobe cream, but maybe with a bit more subtlety. You can mix this one in your foundation to light it up, or use it as a primer, or as a highlighter, or blend it into your eyeshadow. This product is really versatile, and I used it in all those ways and they all came out so well. The formula is water-based (55%!), so it also hydrates. The Fresh Glow doesn't have shimmers, but it's beautifully radiant. From the moment I tried it I was fan, it's definitely my number one primer now.
The last product is the Burberry Kisses Gloss, in the shade Military Red just like the nail polish. The pigmentation of the lip gloss is somewhere in-between, but they don't pretend to be a liquid lipstick. This gloss should be 'a hydrating veil of intense, mirror-like shine, inspired by delicate and lightweight Burberry fabrics and finishes'. And Burberry succeeded in that, it feels light, non-sticky and has an intense shine.
Burberry - Fresh Glow in 01. Nude Radiance (€41)
Burberry - Nail Polishes in No.109 Military Red and No.120 Festive Gold (€19)
Burberry - Kisses Gloss in No.109 Military Red (€29)
I have tried some Burberry products now, and there is not a single one that I didn't like. This collection is also a very pretty one: the Fresh Glow base is so great to work with, the nail polishes look pretty and the quality is amazing and the lip gloss does what it promises. A very pretty, festive collection with some great products in it!
What do you think about this collection?
Love, Rani
The nail polishes are so beautiful! The Festive Gold is one of the prettiest I've seen. And I really like the packaging, just perfect for the holidays.
