Clinique has gotten a prominent place in my beauty routine. They just released a new product in the Turnaround family: the Daytime Revitalizing Moisturizer and of course I needed to try it out!
The Daytime Moisturizer isn't the only one I'm reviewing, I'm also showing you the mask from the Turnaround collection.
Let's start with the newbie.
I hardly found any reviews online, probably because it's so new. That made me even more curious to try it!
What is it? It's a lightweight, oil-free hydrator that should instantly deliver a fresh, luminous, wide-awake glow. The cream comes in two shades: Rosy Glow and Golden Glow. I tried out the Rosy Glow. There are 'optic pigments' to make the skin look radiant.
The cream feels fresh and at first a little bit sticky, but that feeling disappears very (very) quickly. It left a subtle glow on my face. Not a shine, but a subtle, freshening glow. It also has the feeling of a primer, so you can wear your foundation directly over this if you want to. I have to admit, I love using it. My tube is already half empty. It's a bit expensive, but I saw on the website that there is a smaller variant which is a lot cheaper, so you can try that one out first and see if it works for you.
The cream is suitable for all skin types. (Hurray!)
I also tested another product from the Turnaround line: the Instant Facial.
This mask is a mild exfoliant that encourages cell renewal and makes the skin silky soft and fresh. It should also improve the skin quality (make it look younger, more radiant,...).
You can leave the mask for about 5 minutes before you have to rinse it off with warm water. You can use it 2-3 times a week.
Just like the moisturizer, this mask is also suitable for all skin types.
What I discovered when I walked outside wearing this mask, is that it sparkles so much! Not just sparkle sparkle, I mean Edward Cullen-sparkle. It was so cool to see! I tried to capture it on photo, but it didn't had the same effect. If you zoom in on the photo you can see a little bit of 'glitter', but it wasn't actual glitter because it doesn't sparkle at all in normal lightning, only in the sun. (See, it really is Twilight sparkle!)
Now about the effect: my skin felt very soft when I used it. The mask is and feels so rich, it's just pure pampering.
Turnaround Daytime Revitalizing Moisturizer in rosy glow (€49,65)
Turnaround Revitalizing Instant Facial (€52,65)
Clinique did (again) a good job on the mask as well on the glowy moisturizer. The only thing I still miss with the Clinique products is a little scent. The first thing I do when I get new products is smell them, yep, I'm one of those girls. But I think I'm getting used to the no-scent policy from Clinique, I just make it up with lots and lots of perfume.
What are your favorite Clinique products? Or your favorite masks?
Love, Rani

ReplyDeleteMooie foto's weer! En ik heb er een soort serum van, ben ik echt supertevreden over. Dat masker lijkt me ook nog wel iets voor mij!
