Time to talk about some skincare.
I got these four Caudalie masks, and I tried them all out for you! (Okay, I really wanted to try them too.)
The masks:
The first one I tried out was the instant detox mask.
Ingredients: pink clay, grape marc and coffee.
What does the package say? This mask eliminates impurities and toxins to tighten pores and renew skin texture. Apply a thin layer twice a week for 5 minutes. Rinse.
That's exactly what I did, the clay is copper-brown, but when it gets hard on your face it's white. When I rinsed off, I noticed that my skin looked clearer. I was having a bad-skin day, and it really looked better. I was so amazed by this one, in 5 minutes it really detoxed my skin. Magic. This one is definitely my favorite.
The scent is also really good, it smells like a day at the spa, and you can smell the natural ingredients.
The second one is the moisturizing mask.
Ingredients: grape oil, vinolevure, hyaluronic acid.
What does the package say? Provides intense moisture and relief for dehydrated skin to feel comfortable, supple and soft. Apply twice a week, to face and eye contours. Remove excess after 15 minutes or leave on all night.
This one isn't really a mask. It doesn't give a real mask effect, because it doesn't get as hard as the others. You can compare this mask to a strong night cream. My skin felt really soft after I rinsed it off. Soft and hydrated. I have literally no bad things to say about this mask. The scent is also way softer than the other masks, again comparable to a night cream.
The third mask is the glycolic peel mask.
Ingredients: glycolic acid, papaya and viniferine.
What does the package say? This non-irritating exfoliant activates cellular renewal for fresh, bright and even skin. Apply twice a week for 10 minutes. Rinse. Avoid the eye contour area.
This was the last one that I tried, and again my skin looked happy that I used the mask. The substance has like the moisturizing mask a softer scent and texture. But is does get hard after two minutes. All of the masks are very easy to rinse of, this one included. This is not my favorite, but it's still very good.
The last one is the purifying mask.
Ingredients: white clays, sage and zinc.
This non-drying mask eliminates impurities and absorbs excess sebum for clarified and even skin. Apply twic a week for 10 minutes. Rinse.
I used this one just before I took a bath, and this is the only one I rinsed of with my hands instead of a washcloth. And my skin felt so, so soft! Softer than a baby's but. So I was quite astonished about the power of the mask.
In general: these masks are pure perfection. I'm always scared to try out new skincare, because I'm scared my skin might react bad to it. I wasn't really afraid of these ones because Caudalie works with more than 90% natural ingredients, and it's sold at the pharmacist. (That means something, right?)
The masks cost €22 for a tube of 75 ml. Not supercheap, but definitely worth it.
Have you ever tried something from Caudalie?
Love, Rani
